Update: Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary Trails

Most of the Walterboro Wildife Sanctuary trails, after being temporarily closed due to damage from Tropical Storm Irma, are now open. However the covered bridge and its surrounding walkways, as well as some boardwalks will remain closed until repairs can be completed. Please see our map for more detailed information.

The closed areas are the two yellow "boardwalk" trails indicated on the below map. The boardwalks on Ivanhoe Road and Jefferies Boulevard are open.

Crafters Needed for Family & Community Leaders Holiday Craft Fair

Crafters are needed for FCL’s 2017 Holiday House Craft Fair. Clemson Extension’s Family & Community Leaders (FCL) will hold its annual Holiday House Craft Fair on Saturday, November 4, 2017. At the Colleton County Museum and Farmers Market. Only crafters selling handmade arts and crafts will be accepted; there is a limited number of spaces available. Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary Trails Closed

The boardwalks and gravel trails of the Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary are closed due to damage from Tropical Storm Irma until further notice. Please stay out of these areas of the Sanctuary for your own safety. The paved portion of the trail, accessible from Washington Street and the Detreville Street Entrances, is still open.

City offices will be closed Monday Sept. 11.

Due to Inclement Weather from Hurricane Irma, City Offices will be closed Monday September 11, and there will be no curb-side garbage collection.
