Bids for Work Center Repairs

The City of Walterboro will be accepting bids for the following construction project located at the City Shop 2106 Robertson Blvd, Walterboro SC 29488.

Bids will be accepted until Monday, June 8, 2020, at 2:00 pm:

Storm Damage Suggested Scope of  Work: 

Office Building (Approx. 38x60 CMU Block Building): 

• Remove the remainder of existing metal roof
• Remove and replace 4x4 wood purlins
• Replace lx wood  facia
• Inst all-new 26 ga. screw-down corrugated metal roofing
• Install new drip edge, rake trim, and ridge cap
• Replace sheetrock on walls and ceilings in offices
• Replace all existing passage doors and hardware
  • Note - Reuse existing passage door frames
• Replace all existing windows with aluminum storefront frames with low-E insulated  glass
• Repaint interior and exterior of the building
  • Note - 1 prime coat, 2 finish coats
• Install new zone system mini-split HVAC unit
• Install (2) sectional garage doors on each end of breezeway o Note - Amar 2000 series

Shop: 

• Remove the remainder of existing metal roof
• Remove and replace 4x4 wood purlins
• Replace lx  wood facia
• Install new 26 ga. screw-down corrugated metal roofing
• Install new 4" vinyl backed insulation
• Install new drip edge, rake trim, and ridge cap
• Replace all existing passage doors and hardware
  • Note - Reuse existing passage door frames
• Replace all existing windows with aluminum storefront frames with low-E insulated  glass
• Repaint interior and exterior of the building
  • Note - 1 prime coat, 2 finish coats 

Two-Bay Parking Shed @ Shop: 

• Remove the remainder of the existing roof
• Remove and replace 4x4 wood purlins
• Install new 26 ga. screw-down corrugated metal roofing  

Equipment Shed:

• Remove the remainder of existing metal roof
• Remove and replace 4x4 wood purlins
• Replace lx wood facia
• Replace (4) 8x8 posts
• Replace all damaged and/or missing diagonal bracing at top of posts
• Install new 26 ga. screw-down corrugated metal roofing
• Install new drip edge, rake trim, and ridge cap

 Pump House #1: 

• Remove existing shingle roof
• Install new underlayment
• Install new 26 ga. screw-down corrugated metal roofing
• Repaint exterior
• Point up cracks in mortar joint
• Replace doors, frames, and hardware

o    Note -  hollow-core metal doors and metal frames

• New facia boards, 5/8 CDX roof sheeting 

Pump House #2 

• Complete rebuild of the pump house 

NOTE -All new metal roofing to match on all buildings
