Technician 

The City of Walterboro has an opening for a Technician in the Water Department.  

• The candidate will maintain the water system, read meters, maintain the lawn around lift stations, and perform other duties as required.
• Must be able to work extended periods or beyond normal schedule in the event of operational or safety requirements, work weekends, holidays, and nights, if required, and work primarily outside and during inclement weather.
• Will be required to work after storms if needed.
• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
• Applicants must have a High School Diploma or equivalent with a valid S.C. Driver’s License.
• Minimum Class B CDL required or obtained within six (6) months.
• The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Salary range based upon qualifications - $15.31 beginning rate.
