FoCCAS Walk & Wag

Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter is hosting our 5th Annual Walk & Wag.

This is a free family-friendly, dog-friendly event held in the County Parking Lot at Washington and Jefferies Sts with a dog walk through the Walterboro Wildlife Sanctuary.

Going to the Dogs Band will provide live entertainment. 

A hot dog lunch is available. Anyone wearing a 2018 Walk & Wag T-shirt gets a free lunch (check out our FB event for details of shirt sales)

Colleton County Master Gardeners' Association Plant Propgation Workshop

Laura Lee Rose, Horticulture Agent and Master Gardener Coordinatior for Beaufort and Colleton Counties, will be conducting a workshop on plant propagation, Saturday, May 5, 2018, 9:00 am until 12:00 pm at 5937 Bells Highway, Ruffin, SC.

The hands-on workshop will include seed starting, cutting, air layering, and grafting.  Bring your clippers and a lunch if you want to stay and eat with Laura Lee and other participates after the program.

Colleton County 4-H Club Livestock Meeting

The Colleton County 4-H Livestock Club will meet Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Ulmer Farm, 2035 Halyard Rd, Lodge, SC at 9:30 am.  The topic for the day will be 4-H Beef Projects.

The Walterboro City Council Budget Committee will hold a Work Session on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 4:30 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, to discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget. The regularly scheduled City Council Meeting will follow at 6:15 P.M. 

Keep Colleton Beautiful - Great American Cleanup

Keep Colleton Beautiful is hosting a Great American Cleanup on the Ace Trail in Greenpond, SC. If you need community service hours or just want to help beautiful your community, please join us on this day. Water and all supplies will be provided to all volunteers. The event is located near Greenpond's post office where parking is available.
