2020 Meeting Schedule
Walterboro City Council

Walterboro City Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month January through December. Meetings are held at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro, South Carolina beginning at 6:15 p.m.

City Council Meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted online and on City Hall bulletin boards at least 24 hours prior to a meeting. Notice of called, special, cancelled or rescheduled board meetings are made in the same manner.

The February 4, 2020 regular City Council Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 6:15 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC.  

All City offices will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, and Wednesday, December 25, 2019 for the Christmas Holiday.

City offices will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2020 for New Year’s Day.

The garbage collection schedule will be as follows:

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

City Hall offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29, 2019 for Thanksgiving. Residential and commercial garbage will not be collected on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and November 29. For assistance, please contact the Police Department (843-782-1030).

The City of Walterboro will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at 6:15 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers at 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC 29488.

The November 5, 2019 regular City Council Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 6:15 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street.

The October 2, 2019 Election Commission Meeting has been cancelled due to lack of agenda items.    

Jury Trials for Walterboro Municipal Court for the month of October will be held on the 9th at 9:00 am, NOT the 10th.  Please call our office with any questions or concerns, 843-782-1057.

Municipal Election Commission Meeting Notice

The Municipal Election Commission will hold its next meeting on Friday, September 20, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. to discuss the upcoming General Election to be held November 5, 2019. The meeting will be held at the Colleton County Voter Registration and Elections Office, located at 2471 Jefferies Highway (corner of Jefferies Highway and Academy Road).
