The Colleton County Office of Clemson Cooperative Extension Service will be giving away native bare root seedling trees in honor of Arbor Day on Saturday, December 2nd, at the Colleton Museum and Farmers Market, 506 East Washington Street, Walterboro SC.  Trees will be available from 9:00 am- 1:00 pm or until all trees have been given away.

Selections include Yellow Poplar, Eastern Redbud, Southern Crabapple, Swamp Chestnut Oak, Bald Cypress, and Longleaf Pine.

The public is invited to a Brown Bag Lunch hosted by the Master Gardeners Association on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Noon in Room 222 at the Colleton Clemson Extension Office.  Bring your lunch and join us to discuss gardening, horticulture, and plant problem questions.  December's topic is "Planting Trees." We will be hosting over 20 artists from across the state at the SC Artisans Center. These artists will be demonstrating their crafts and selling their creations! There will be music and refreshments for all. Please come join us for a fun day and purchase some Christmas gifts!

Walterboro City Council invites you to their annual City Hall Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony held on December 3, 2017 at 5 pm at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street in Walterboro. The City of Walterboro Election Commission will hold a mandatory recount of votes cast in the November 07, 2017 General Election for Three (3) City Council Seats. 

This recount will be held on Thursday, November 09, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Colleton County Voters Registration and Elections Office, 2471 Jefferies Hwy, Walterboro, SC.

The City of Walterboro will hold an election for MAYOR AND THREE CITY COUNCIL SEATS on NOVEMBER 7, 2017

Polls open election day at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.

Join us for the second annual Victory Lap 5K Run/Walk!  Race starts and ends on the campus of the Veterans' Victory House.  All participants will receive dog tags & refreshments at race finish.  High quality T-shirts guaranteed for all pre-registered participants; as supplies last for same-day registrants.  **Race day parking at Northside Elementary School**

Proceeds benefit the Veterans' Victory Group, a 501(c)3 organization that enriches the lives of Victory House residents.
