Hydrant Maintenance & Flushing Hydrant Testing Members of the Walterboro Fire Department have implemented a hydrant maintenance and flushing program. Flushing will be conducted throughout the month of February.

Walterboro City Council is soliciting the names of City residents interested in being considered for appointment on the following Boards and Commissions:

• Accommodations Tax Committee------- 2 positions----- 3 year term
• Board of Zoning Appeals-------------------- 1 position------ 3 year term
• Building Board------------------------------------ 1 position------ 4 year term
• Election Commission--------------------------- 1 position------ 6 year term (unexpired)

Walterboro City Council

The February 5, 2019 regular City Council Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 6:15 P.M. at City Hall, 242 Hampton Street, Walterboro, SC.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

City Hall offices will be closed Monday, January 21, 2019, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Residential and Commercial garbage will not be picked up. For assistance, please contact the Police Department (843-782-1030). City staff wishes you a safe and happy holiday.  

Request for Qualifications

Comprehensive Engineering Services pertaining to the City's Water & Sewer Utilities

The City of Walterboro is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified Engineering firms to serve as consulting engineers for the City in the preparation of various engineering services that may be requested or required from time to time as needed for maintaining and upgrading its Water & Sewer Utility systems. Women and minority-owned firms are encouraged to apply.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
All City offices will be closed on December 24 and December 25, 2018 for the Christmas Holiday. Our offices will also be closed on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 for New Year's Day.
